Social communication for behaviour change

In parallel with the development and dissemination of marketing solutions, nationwide social communication campaigns for behavioural change are being implemented in Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger. They are led by the Ministries of Health in partnership with the Meriem project.

These innovative, unprecedented campaigns aim to promote feeding practices for young children and women of childbearing age as recommended by national policies. Through a multi-channel approach simultaneously mobilising the media, cell phones, social networks, and outreach activities, a significant impact for improvement of knowledge and promotion of widespread adoption of recommended nutritional practices is expected.
