Samani is a ready-to-cook fortified infant flour. It is produced and marketed by the UCODAL company in Mali, and is intended for 6 to 23 month-old children as a complement to breastmilk and traditional foods.
This infant flour is made using local crops such as white maize, soybeans and groundnuts. Samani flour also contains milk and a complex of 21 vitamins and minerals, which can provide children with all the micronutrients necessary for good health. It can be prepared quickly and easily, and is a safe, digestible, filling product for infants.
Samani infant flour is marketed in two formats: in a 400 g carton and a 70 g packet (which makes two portions of porridge). Widely available in shops, supermarkets and pharmacies in Bamako, this product ensures high quality porridge at an affordable price.
